 The "Festa da Castanha" returns to the Sernancelhe Exposalão on October 24, 25, and 26, 2025. This year, more than a celebration of tradition and autumn flavors, the event is imbued with solidarity and hope.

After a summer marked by fires that devastated more than 400 hectares of chestnut forest, the "Festa da Castanha" 2025 makes a commitment to the future of the region: for every solidarity tote bag sold, a chestnut tree will be planted. For three days, Sernancelhe will be the epicenter of Douro culture and gastronomy, with showcookings, concerts, tastings of local products, sports activities, and plenty of street entertainment.

Highlights of the program include the "Flavors of Autumn" showcooking with Chef Emília Lima, the Soutos da Lapa DOP Best Chestnut Contest, musical performances, and the "Chestnut and Chestnut Route" Trail and Walk.

The "Festa da Castanha" has been a symbol of the region's identity for decades. But this year, it's also a call for unity and collective responsibility.

From October 24th to 26th, all roads lead to Sernancelhe.
