After a short break, the restaurant has reopened its doors, offering a unique gastronomic experience at Quinta do Bomfim, in the village of Pinhão, with stunning views of the Douro River. In partnership with the Symington family, renowned chef Pedro Lemos is presenting exciting news for this season, including new dishes on the menu and a tasting menu.

 

Inspired by the traditional flavors and ingredients of the region, the new menu features comforting dishes designed to welcome visitors during the winter. Delicacies such as Wild Boar in a Pot, Roots and Mushrooms, and Milk Goat roasted in a wood-fired oven are among the novelties. A highlight among the desserts is the irresistible Tonka Bean, Carrot and Ginger Crème Brûlée.

One of the great novelties is the tasting menu, which offers the opportunity to taste some of the house's most emblematic creations, paired with a careful selection of the best wines from the Symington family's portfolio.

In addition to the new dishes, the menu continues to offer favorites from Bomfim 1896 with Pedro Lemos, such as Caldeirada with fish of the day, shellfish and squid, Vaca with onions, spicy horseradish and grilled lettuce, and Mil-folhas with smoked cream and salted caramel.

 

At Bomfim 1896 with Pedro Lemos, the Douro is the undisputed protagonist. Located on the top floor of an old wine warehouse, the restaurant draws inspiration from the Douro's ancestral culinary traditions, where wood-fired cooking reigned supreme. Since its opening in 2022, the space has accumulated awards, including "Best Chef" for Pedro Lemos and "Best Restaurant" in the two editions of APENO's National Wine Tourism Awards. The project was also distinguished in the "Wine Restaurants" category of the Best of Wine Tourism 2023.

Bomfim 1896 with Pedro Lemos is now open seven days a week, offering lunch on Sundays and Mondays, from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, and lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm and from 7pm to 8.30pm respectively.
