Quinta do Pôpa presents 'Tales of the Earth 2016' and 'Pôpa Black Edition 2015'

"Contos da Terra 2006" and "Pôpa Black Edition 2015": of years and with different profiles, these are the new dyes launched by Quinta do Pôpa, located in Tabuaço, in a true window to the river that crosses the oldest wine region of the world, and managed by the brothers Stéphane and Vanessa Ferreira.
The 'Tales of the Red Earth 2016' breathes the Douro and is a versatile wine, young, fresh and fruity aroma, to drink daily. More elaborate, the 'Pôpa Black Edition red 2015' is a wine of comfort, warm, that promises to revive the charm of the fireplaces and the pleasure of literature, but equally inviting in a table full of good gastronomy.
The 'Tales of the Red Earth 2016' is a wine that joins Tinta Roriz (30%), Touriga Franca (30%), Touriga Nacional (30%) and Tinta Barroca ( 10%), in a fermentation process and stainless steel stage. A young red ruby red color. It is young and with a fragrance of red fruits linked to a freshness attributed by the mint. In the mouth, the entrance is soft and creamy, elegant and soft tannin. The end is greedy and appetizing and therefore versatile and extremely gastronomic.
The 'Pôpa Black Edition red 2015' is born from a blend of Vines Velhas (30%), Touriga Franca (20%), Tinta Amarela (Tinta Amarela 10%) - vinified in mills with foot steps - and Tinto Cão (10%), Tinta Roriz (30%) - vinified in stainless steel tanks. The stage took place entirely in used French oak barrels, during periods of 10 to 15 months. It is a red ruby nectar, with a clean and intense aroma characterized, at the beginning, by the ripe fruit and a slight toasted, spice-marked finish. On the palate, it denotes a soft but bulky entrance. The creamy tannin tied to a gentle freshness persists in the mouth until the end, where you can taste the fresh fruit, turning it into a sweet nectar that accompanies the snack and conversation, but also meat dishes and baked fish. In spite of the appealing price, it is a wine of guard.
A pair whose harvests from the previous year were enthusiastically evaluated by Roger Voss, a critic of the prestigious wine magazine Wine Enthusiast , in that 'Pôpa Black Edition red 2014' was awarded 93 points and 'Tales of the Red Earth 2015' in the 'Best Buy' category.
